The 250-Hour Yoga Therapy Teacher Training at InDepth Yoga Academy is designed for aspiring yoga therapists who wish to deepen their understanding of therapeutic yoga applications. This comprehensive program combines traditional yogic practices with evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a wide range of health conditions.

Our training is structured into five specialized blocks, each focusing on a key area of yoga therapy. Each block spans 2 weeks (50 hours), allowing for in-depth study and practical application. Graduates will gain the skills and confidence to support clients with diverse health needs, from musculoskeletal disorders to cardiovascular and neurological conditions.

Curriculum
Program Structure

The course is divided into five intensive blocks:

Block 1: Musculoskeletal System (50 hours)

  • Anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system.

  • Assessment techniques and therapeutic approaches for back pain, scoliosis, joint issues (hips, knees, shoulders), and postural imbalances.

  • Pain management: neurophysiology, manual techniques, and exercise progression.

Block 2: Nervous System (50 hours)

  • Anatomy and physiology of the nervous system.

  • Yoga therapy for stroke recovery, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy.

  • Neurological assessments and adaptive practices.

Block 3: Reproductive System (50 hours)

  • Male and female reproductive health: anatomy, common disorders (e.g., endometriosis, prostatitis), and therapeutic practices.

  • Pregnancy and postpartum care: biomechanics, diastasis recti, pelvic floor rehabilitation.

Block 4: Cardiovascular & Respiratory Systems (50 hours)

  • Yoga therapy for hypertension, heart disease, arrhythmias, and respiratory conditions (asthma, COPD).

  • Breathwork (pranayama) tailored to circulatory and lung health.

Block 5: Digestive & Endocrine Systems (50 hours)

  • Therapeutic approaches for gastrointestinal disorders (IBS, gastritis) and endocrine imbalances (diabetes, thyroid dysfunction).

  • Diet and lifestyle integration for holistic healing.
